Two new Project Officers at FEHRL Secretariat
Both responsible for administrative and financial management of FEHRL's projects.
Migle Paliukaite and Claudia Ciuca both joined FEHRL as of the middle of January 2016 as Project Officers working closely with the other staff of FEHRL, especially for technical input. They will also be responsible for the administrative and financial management of FEHRL's portfolio of Horizon 2020 and FP7 projects. Both have a PhD in Civil Engineering.
Migle is Lithuanian and comes from a post-doctoral Internship in the Department of Chemistry (Simon Hesp Research Group) at Queen’s University in Kingston, Canada. She got her PhD at the Vilnius Gediminas Technical University in Lithuania. During her studies, she had internships at Bologna University in Italy and the, Road and Bridge Research Institute in Poland. She has worked as a Junior Scientist at FEHRL member, the Road Research Institute in Lithuania for several years on bitumen quality, asphalt pavement performance and has experience in experimental pavement structural design.
Claudia, meanwhile, is Romanian and worked as a Project Officer for the last six years at the Romanian National Company of Motorways and National Roads, an institution that implements road projects financed with EU funds. She also has three years of experience in civil engineering construction projects and is very familiar with CESTRIN, FEHRL's Romanian member. She got her PhD at the Technical University of Civil Engineering in Bucharest
