FEHRL organises another International Project Management training course
 FEHRL organises another successful IPM training for 24 participants
The 2016 International Project Management (IPM) training took place at the BRRC research premises in Sterrebeek from 14-16th June 2016 for 24 participants from the following FEHRL institutes: AIT (Austria), BASt (Germany), BRRC (Belgium), CDV (Czech Republic), EPFL (Switzerland), IFSTTAR (France), LNEC (Portugal), NPRA (Norway), NTNU (Norway), RRI (Lithuania), Rijkswaterstaat (Netherlands) and VTI (Sweden), as well as the external organisations BRSI (Belgium), CLEPA (Belgium), KFV (Austria), EUPAVE (Belgium), SWOV (Netherlands) and TOI (Norway). The course aimed to:

Assist people with project management from a road research perspective in the development of proposals and the building of teams within multi-national projects,
-
Prepare participants to communicate effectively
-
Demystify the European Commission
-
Establish links with experienced project managers
-
Increase the organisational and financial know-how
-
Understand how to exploit and implement results
The three day IPM programme, given predominantly by members of the FEHRL Secretariat, covered sessions on the following topics:
- Project Management: the main phases
- Developing a proposal
- Evaluation process
- Communication activities
- Exploitation and dissemination of project results
- Lessons learned
- Running and delivering the project
- Managing change and risk
- Project closure
The training also included key information from the European Commission. Feedback from the participants was very positive and all suggestions for improvement will be taken into consideration for developing the next courses.
On Friday 17th June, Claudia Ciuca, FEHRL Project Officer, gave a separate training on Financial Information for H202 projects for selected participants.
