news26.07.2011Call for papers for SURF 2012 - Smooth, Safe, Quiet and Sustainable Travel through Innovative Technologies
The call for papers for the 7th Symposium on Pavement Surface Characteristics has been issued by the current Chairman of the Scientific Committee, Brian Ferne of TRL, Honorary Chief Research Scientist and Chief Technical Advisor - Pavement Engineering. This International Symposium will be held in Virginia, USA in September 2012 and is organised by the World Road Association (PIARC) in partnership with several other US organisations. The Symposium will bring together a broad audience of stakeholders and will include: sessions based on the formal call for abstracts and papers, with peer-reviews by the scientific committee; technology updates by equipment and data service providers; panel discussions to identify emerging issues, research problems and education needs; and, optional technical visits and an exhibition.
