FEHRL organises another International Project Management training course
FEHRL organises another successful International Project Management (IPM) training as final stage of INCRIS project training and for FEHRL institutes.
The 2014 International Project Management training took place at the FEHRL offices from 4-6th November 2014 for 16 participants from the following FEHRL institutes: AIT (Austria), BASt (Germany), CDV (Czech Republic), DNDI (Ukraine), NPRA (Norway) and NTNU (Norway). The course aims to:

Assist people with project management from a road research perspective in the development of proposals and the building of teams within multi-national projects,
-
Prepare participants to communicate effectively
-
Demystify the European Commission
-
Establish links with experienced project managers
-
Increase the organisational and financial know-how
This IPM training also represented the final stage of the INCRIS project training for two Ukrainian researchers from FEHRL member institute DNDI.
The three day IPM programme, given predominantly by members of the FEHRL Secretariat and FEHRL Institute Directors, covered sessions on the following topics:
- Project Management: the International Context
- Introduction to funding opportunities for international scientific cooperation
- Managing and leading an EC project
- Developing a proposal
- Building a Consortium
- Building your delivery plan
- Dissemination/exploitation of results and communication activities
- Managing change and risk
- Evaluators perspective - Assessment and contract negotiations,
- Making your Consortium effective
- Tracking delivery
- Project closure
The training also included key information from the European Commission. Feedback from the participants was very positive and all suggestions for improvement will be taken into consideration for developing the next courses.
