FEHRL looking for two Project Officers to join Secretariat

FEHRL, representing the National Road Research Centres of thirty-three nations is looking for 2 new staff members.



A Junior Finance & Project Officer to support its portfolio of contractual activities. Reporting directly to the Secretary-General and working closely with the Events and Communication officers, he/she will be mostly responsible for the administrative and financial management of the projects.

This includes the preparation and submission of:

  • Services offers to tender:
  • Grant agreements or contracts;
  • Letter of Intent;
  • Consortium agreement;
  • Administrative and financial reporting

In addition, the candidate will also be requested to provide administrative and financial support for the association and work closely with the accountant for reporting, banking and audit purposes.

With a 2 year experience in a project management environment and solid IT skills and knowledge, the successful candidate will be fluent in English and French (written and oral). Reflecting the character of the organisation, the candidate will be expected to:

  • Be capable of handling multiple tasks, prioritise workload, rapid responsiveness
  • Have strong organisational and analytical skills
  • Have excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office (word, excel, power point),
  • Be flexible for travels within Europe.

The duration of the contract is one year with the possibility for extension. The start of the contract is expected to be as from 01 November 2015. FEHRL offers a pleasant working environment with attractive working conditions.

Reporting directly to the Project Manager and working closely with the Events and Communication officers especially for technical input, he/she will be mostly responsible for the administrative and financial management of the projects. This includes the preparation and submission of:

  • Administrative and financial reporting;
  • Developing technical input;
  • Liaising and coordinating with partners;
  • Communicating and disseminating about the projects;
  • Producing technical deliverables

Preferably with solid IT skills and knowledge and with a technical background in engineering (PhD is an asset) and with a 2 year experience in a project management environment, the successful candidate will be fluent in English (written and oral).

Reflecting the character of the organisation, the candidate will be expected to :

  • Be capable of handling multiple tasks, prioritise workload, rapid responsiveness
