New FEHRL Group created in Israel

TRI of the Technion joins together with FEHRL member Netivei Israel - National Transport Infrastructure Company  (NTIC)

In  June 2015, two leading Israeli research organisations - FEHRL member Netivei Israel - National Transport Infrastructure Company (NTIC) and the Transportation Research Institute (TRI) of the Israel Institute of Technology (Technion), formed an agreement to establish an Israel FEHRL National Group. The  Israel FEHRL Group agreement was ratified at the FEHRL General Assembly on 23rd October 2015 in Oslo, Norway.

This cooperation initiative of two Israeli partners aims to support the FEHRL mission to promote and facilitate collaboration on road research and provide high quality information and advice on technologies and policies related to roads.

The Israel FEHRL Group aims to adopt the successful model of the FEHRL national groups and to be a strong foundation for an excellent partnership. The Group will serve as a strong communication channel between the European and Israeli highway and transportation research communities. Synergies from connecting the TRI- Technion research community to FEHRL activities will benefit all involved – FEHRL members, Netivei Israel and TRI- Technion.

Eng. Shimon Nesichi, Yevgeny Artsev, of Netivei Israel and Prof. Shlomo Bechor of TRI will function as research coordinators;  Edward Yosilevsky will be the point of contact and coordinator of the Israel FEHRL Group activities. For any information please contact edwardy@iroads.co.il.
