This guideline of the Ministry of transport of the Czech Republic is one result of R&D project No. 1F55B/090/120: Rigid pavements – new construction, repair and reconstruction technologies, comparison with flexible pavements and long term monitoring. The purpose of the guideline is to compare and evaluate pavement structures with asphalt courses and with cement courses and summarise all viewpoints used during selection of proper pavement type. Except for construction costs the other aspects are evaluated like lifespan, planned traffic intensity, geological impact, climate, advantages/disadvantages in connection to maintenance, repair and reconstruction etc. The core of the evaluation is complex technical-economical appraisal of possible variants. As a part of the project the other technical specifications dealing with rigid pavement inspection, maintenance and repair were updated. The guideline is distributed through CDV.
The similarity algorithm calculates how much two contents in the system are similar to one another. So far, similarity is calculated based on similarity of the project type, area of interest and user type. Generally, if two contents have more parameters in common they are more similar to each another. More information.
