TREE network specifically concerns medium and large-scale research facilities in Europe. TREE includes 16 partners from 12 European countries (Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Finland, France, Great Britain, Germany, Greece, Netherlands, Spain, Sweden, and Poland). It has also very strong links with the INTRANSNET network working on transport subject.
In this project the work was divided into five Work Packages. WP1 concerns the elaboration of a catalogue of facilities. WP2 is dedicated to the analysis of current of future demand and user needs. WP3 concerns the strategy. WP 4 concerns external contacts and dissemination of the results and WP5 allows the elaboration of an ethical charter, translated into all the languages of partners.
The similarity algorithm calculates how much two contents in the system are similar to one another. So far, similarity is calculated based on similarity of the project type, area of interest and user type. Generally, if two contents have more parameters in common they are more similar to each another. More information.
