The European Long-Life Pavement Group (ELLPAG) was established in 1999 as a FEHRL and CEDR Working Group. Core membership of the Group comprises representatives of research institutes (FEHRL members) and the UK Highways Agency, representing CEDR. ELLPAG is chaired and co-ordinated by TRL (UK). The objectives of ELLPAG are:
1. In the short term - to carry out state-of-the-art reviews of the current European knowledge on the design and maintenance of long-life fully-flexible, semi-rigid and rigid pavements.
2. In the medium turn – to undertake a series of workshops/seminars to promote the understanding and use of long-life pavements in Europe.
3. In the long term - to produce a user-friendly comprehensive Best Practice Guidance note on long-life pavement design and maintenance for all the common types of pavement construction used in Europe. |
