 Ratemystreet website launched by TRL 15.06.2010

TRL has developed and launched a new website entitled Ratemystreet, focusing on rating a street's walkability. Based on a 5-star rating system, the online tool utilises Google maps and Google Street view to allow people to see their streets and rate them from around the globe. Ratemystreet is a complimentary tool to TRL's PERS (Pedestrian Environment Review System) software. For further information, please visit the TRL website.  Tyrosafe video launched 10.06.2010

 A promotional video covering the essential elements of the Tyrosafe project and highlighting  the role of road surfaces in providing safer, quieter and greener roads, was launched today at the the Final Seminar which took place in Brussels, Belgium, in the framework of the Transport Research Arena 2010. The project will officially be ending on 30 June 2010. The video is available on fehrl.tv, FEHRL's YouTube Channel, and on the TYROSAFE project website homepage.

 FEHRL Agenda at TRA 2010 05.05.2010

TRA2010FEHRL will be participating and hosting various events at TRA 2010, taking place on 7 – 10 June 2010, in Brussels, Belgium. An exhibition FEHRL booth, with the participation of Polish members, IBDiM, can be found at n° 40-41. Other events and seminars planned for TRA 2010 consist of Forever Open Road, TYROSAFE (Final Seminar), CERTAIN, YEAR2010, SHRP2, and SIMBA II. You are further invited to join the FEHRL-TYROSAFE-SHRP2 cocktail taking place at the TRA venue in room 310, on Thursday June 10th, starting at 17.30.  EC opens Public Consultation on Noise Emissions Directive 27.04.2010

The EC has announced a Public Consultation on the review of Directive 2000/14/EC on Noise emissions from outdoor noise equipment. They are seeking the views and opinions of citizens and stakeholders on the various issues that may need to be addressed in a draft proposal for further amending the Directive. The replies to this consultation will provide the Commission services with a broader range of views on the identified policy needs and should enable to improving or confirming the envisaged approaches.
