At the 29th FEHRL General Assembly, Thierry was appointed the new Secretary-General and started in this role in January 2014. Thierry comes from the COST Office where he was Scientific Officer for the Transport and Urban Development Domain and promoted research collaboration and coordinated high-level networking activities.
He has a background as a researcher on the assessment of environmental impacts due to transport systems, programmes and policies.

Deputy Secretary General

Adewole was appointed Deputy Secretary General of FEHRL in 2008 after several years as a Senior Researcher at the Road and Bridge Research Institute in Poland. He was the Head of the Bridge Section at one of the branch offices of the institute. He is Nigerian/Polish.
Adewole deputises for the Secretary General in his absence. He is responsible for the management of FEHRL research and project activities as well as monitoring the financial aspects of such projects. He provides support to FEHRL member institutes wishing to participate in cooperative research.

Catherine is British and Belgian and joined FEHRL in April 2011. Catherine has many years of communications experience gained both in the private sector (in Unilever and SCA Packaging Europe) and the non-profit sector (in the Reproductive Health Supplies Coalition and the Pro-Cathedral of Holy Trinity). She has also worked as a journalist for a weekly trade publication called Pulp and Paper International This Week and as an editor of the European Public Affairs Directory. She will continue to develop and execute strategic communications initiatives in support of FEHRL's work.

Angelica is Brazilian and joined FEHRL in May 2013. She has a Bachelor degree in Physical Education and speaks Portuguese and French fluently, with good skills in English. Angelica is mainly in charge of administrative tasks, but she also maintains the FEHRL website.

Project Officer
Claudia Ciuca

Claudia is Romanian and joined FEHRL in January 2016. She worked as a Project Officer for the last six years at the Romanian National Company of Motorways and National Roads, an institution that implements road projects financed with EU funds. She also has three years of experience in civil engineering construction projects and is very familiar with CESTRIN, FEHRL's Romanian member. She got her PhD at the Technical University of Civil Engineering in Bucharest.

Migle joined FEHRL in January 2016 Migle comes from the Postdoctoral Internship in Department of Chemistry at Queen’s University (Kingston, Canada). Migle got her doctoral degree at Vilnius Gediminas Technical University in Lithuania. During her studies she had internships at Bologna University in Italy, Road and Bridge Research Institute in Poland. She has worked as a Junior Scientist at the Road Research Institute in Lithuania for several years on bitumen quality, asphalt pavement performance and experience in the area of experimental pavement structural design.

Denisa is Albanian and Belgian and has accounting experience at H&M and Fiducaire Bourguignon. She is currently finishing a degree in Accounting and Taxation. Denisa assists the FEHRL Secretariat with the financial administration of contracts with the European Commission and third parties. This includes the financial administration of the work provided by the Association’s members under such contracts. She also manages the accounts of FEHRL and liaise as required with the Auditor on the accounts.
