TYROSAFE Final Seminar archive
FINAL SEMINAR Tyrosafe (Tyre and Road Surface Optimisation for Skid resistance and Further Effects) was a Coordination Action, that started on the 1st of July 2008. The main objectives of the TYROSAFE project were to raise awareness, to coordinate and prepare for European harmonisation and to optimise the assessment and management of essential tyre/road interaction parameters (skid resistance, rolling resistance, noise emission) in order to increase safety and support greening of European road transport. Primary focus was on:
The final seminar brought together representatives from the road related industry, road decision makers, owners, operators, stakeholders, contractors, academia, the European Commission, and researchers at national and local level. The TYROSAFE FINAL SEMINAR featured the development, assessment, and final results of the TYROSAFE project. The event took place at “SQUARE Brussels Meeting Centre”, Glass Entrance, rue Mont des Arts, 1000 Brussels, on the 10th of June 2010, with a half-day seminar and evening cocktail, durign the framework of TRA 2010.
